Position: Chinese/Mandarin Teacher

We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated teacher to inspire and help our Mandarin class’s students to achieve academic excellence.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or above. Some college education, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • A Passion and mindful enthusiasm for Education
  • A love of teaching and desire to help students succeed
  • Available to teach 4 hours a week

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Capable to teach a class with at least 15 students
  • Complete lesson planning and daily preparations
  • Teaching students mandarin including: listening, speaking and writing
  • Encourage students to study and succeed
  • Check homework every Saturday
  • Maintain classroom and outdoor environment that is safe, clean and organized

Schedule: Part-Time. We are open for class on Saturday from 8:45 am to 1:00 pm.

  • English
  • Mandarin and Cantonese

Position: Executive Director

Reporting to APACC Board of Directors, the APACC Executive Director will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for staff, programs, expansion, and execution of its mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure ongoing programmic excellence and evaluation
  • Consistent quality of finance and administration
  • Fundraising
  • Actively recruit, engage, and energize APACC volunteers, board, partner organizations, and funders
  • Develop, maintain, and support a strong Board of Directors
  • Lead, coach, develop, and retain APACC high-performance staff to regularly evaluate program components, so as to measure successes that can be effectively communicated to the board, funders, and constituents

Qualifications:

  • At least a bachelor’s degree on business, management & planning, or other related areas
  • Transparent and high integrity leadership
  • Five or more years senior nonprofit management experience
  • Solid, hands-on, budget management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making and reporting
  • Strong organizational abilities including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation
  • Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations unique to nonprofit sector
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and collaborate with staff
